Clocks on the WallI sit a while and stare,Clocks on the Wall by quantumdylan
a blank palette of colour confronts
my ever staring gaze.
These walls, they are as empty
as my mind appears to be.
A landscape of fog and shadows
as far as I can see.
I sat a moment staring,
at nothing in particular
with one single exception.
Behold, upon these barren walls
there lay a plain-faced clock.
Whose gears through some miracle turned,
and whose workings “ticked” and “tocked.”
I felt my gaze a’wander,
as this shape drew my eye abruptly
to confront the unavoidable.
For though I thought this wall empty,
it now was plain to see.
That long had I been incorrect,
and now the truth is free.
The walls had never been empty
I realized in shock.
For lost to my tired, weary eyes
was the faces of the clock.
Hundreds, maybe thousands,
ticking in cacophony,
ticking in symphony

I soon began to wonder
just how much time I’d lost.
And came to the conclusion,
that knowledge has a cost.

|Well, here are all me deviations! They is good, no?|
I have been looking at this description, and decidedly it no longer fit the description of my current frame of mind.|
SO, allow me to begin with a simple statement.
Lovely weather we're having, isn't it?
Now that we are acquainted, let us begin describing the wonderful life of Dylan Packard.
I am an artist, and more than just a visual artist. I actually am a trained musician, practicing the clarinet professionally and playing the piano in my spare time. I also compose music on the scale of full orchestras, mainly symphonies and the like. I also compose for smaller ensembles on occasion, such as piano solos and clarinet solos and such.
I also draw, as you will find on this website. Mainly I deal in architectural designs, such as my Art Deco sketches.
I am an engineer by trade as well, dealing in Nuclear Engineering. I plan to study both clarinet performance and nuclear at the University of Michigan.
I am a computer programmer, and a diligent man of technology. I run several game servers, alternating between them as my crowd wants them. At the moment, we are hosting a server which runs a map being designed after the style of 1930's New York and that sort of thing. Keep an eye on that.
I am finally a writer. I dabble in the art of words, writing the occasional story here and there. I am currently working on a piece for the NoSleep subreddit.
Have a pleasant day! Thank you very much for your interest.
